Google Reader has gone the way of iGoogle, Buzz and Wave and should stop functioning as of the 1st of July. This decision has attracted a lot of commentary from a small group of people who either will miss it or just love to proclaim the death of various things, like RSS, SEO, Search, Desktops, Facebook, etc.
Fortunately there are alternatives, if you happen to like to manage the Internet fire hose with an RSS reader. If you prefer to rely on the wisdom of the crowd and trust that you will be looking at Twitter exactly when someone posts something useful, I think you’re covered too.
